You can make a difference. When you become a member of the Muskoka Ratepayers' Association, you will have a voice in the Township issues and the preservation of this great area.

The Muskoka Ratepayers are focused on:

• Promoting respect for environmental issues and protection of our precious eco-systems
• Suggesting reasonable and thoughtful controls on new development applications
• Involvement in the development of new planning by-laws and supporting current by-laws
• Determining fair and equitable assessment and tax treatment for all residents
• Strengthening the economic tax base and the provision of affordable Housing in our community.

We and our representatives sit at all Township Council Meetings throughout the year to ensure that our website and newsletter communicates the most current information available on happenings and events of concern and interest to you in your community.

But we can't do it alone. We need your physical and financial support to meaningfully do our volunteer work. Please consider doing your part by becoming a member today. It will be the best $50 investment you can make! Phone the office for a new members application package for you and/or your neighbours and make a difference!

NOTE TO CURRENT MEMBERS: The renewal applications for 2010 have been mailed. Please attend to this matter in order to keep up with serious current issues — namely taxation, development and the environment.
